Invitations to Exhibit

Our current exbibition at The Old Passage is nearing in completion and will be taken down over the next month. Consequently we need to replace it with another body of work, ready for Christmas sales and the Winter season.
Exhibition Description
The exhibition title is ’Seasons’.
The selection group invite you to explore the title of the show and interpret it’s visual meaning in the context of the Old Passage Inn and it’s location.
Your work will be of any medium and format.  We welcome larger pieces work over one metre wide may be limited by wall space.
The exhibition is organised jointly by Sally Pearce of The Old Passage and Kel Portman and we welcome works by painters, printmakers, photographers, poets and makers.
All contact is through Kel Portman at the address below – please DO NOT CONTACT THE OLD PASSAGE
All works are for sale
The Old Passage is an excellent selling venue.
Commission is zero percent.  Yes nothing, zilch, nowt!
But we invite artists to make a voluntary contribution of at least 5% of any sales to SARA (the Severn Area Rescue Association) to help in their valuable rescue work on the River.
(have a look at for extra details)
Size of work

The Restaurant has a comfortable domestic atmosphere and can accommodate a good number of wall hung artworks of varied sizes. We welcome larger work, but those over one metre in length may be limited due to available wall space. Please contact us for advice if your work is large.

Sculpture & 3D
Small sculpture and 3D work must to be robust and be secured to a stable base or be enabled to be wall-hung
All media are welcome, but sadly video and soundworks are unsuitable for the venue.
Number of submissions
Each artist may submit up to 5 pieces of work.
We receive no income, grants or bursaries for arranging the show. There is a small ‘hanging’ fee to cover costs, organisation, promotion, printing of sales lists and labels, as well as some hanging costs.
£8.50 for each piece of artwork accepted
£30.00 for 4 or more pieces
Framing etc
All exhibited work will need to be secure. All wall-mounted, flat works will be fixed securely to the wall with centrally placed and side fixed mirror plates. Other fixings only by prior by arrangement.  Regrettably, wire hanging frames and stretchers are not acceptable
Sadly, work will be rejected if it fails to have the correct fixings or if they are not attached correctly.
Please check with us if this presents a problem for you. Frames should be ‘plain’, please.
Exhibition Contract and Insurance
The Organisers will take every care of your artwork, but are not liable for any loss or damage. Insurance for your work is your responsibility.
If you have questions, please email and we’ll be pleased to respond.
